RULES AND REGULATIONS

of the Central Kansas Gun Club, Inc. Hutchinson, KS

The following Rules and Regulations will apply to all members of CKGC, and their guests, on all club-owned property or leased property.

Failure to comply with the club Rules and Regulations herein set forth would be grounds for suspension or expulsion as set forth in the club bylaws.

Section 1. Guests

A.
A member must accompany his guest at all times while on club grounds.
B.
Each member bringing guests shall be responsible for the actions and conduct of his guests
C.
All guests will abide by club rules and regulations.
D.
All guests will be allowed all club privileges except as defined by club competitions.
E.
No dependent child, eighteen years old or younger, shall bring a guest without an adult member being present while on club grounds.
F.
A potential member-guest, while accompanied by a member in good standing, is granted the privilege of two visitations. After these visitations, the potential member-guest is expected to apply for club membership or terminate his visitations.

Section 2. Picnicking

A.
A member must accompany his guest at all times while on club grounds.
B.
Each member bringing guests(s) shall be responsible for the actions and conduct of his guests.

All guests will abide by club rules and regulations
D.
All guests will be allowed all club privileges except as defined by club competitions.
E.
No dependent child, eighteen years old or younger, shall bring a guest without an adult member being present while on club grounds.

F.
A potential member-guest, while accompanied by a member in good standing, is granted the privilege of two visitations. After these visitations, the potential member-guest is expected to apply for club membership or terminate his visitations.

Section 3. Alcohol & Drugs

A.
There shall be no illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages allowed on club grounds at any time.
B.
Any member drinking any alcoholic beverages or using any illegal drugs on club grounds will be expelled from the club.
C.
Any member, guest or person who is under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, prescription drugs or non-prescription drugs to the extent that it is noticeable to other club members shall not participate in club competitions, practices or other functions. He/she shall also not handle any firearm on club grounds.
D.
Any member deeming such conduct of another member to be in violation of the above or any regulation shall serve that member with notice that he/she is in violation. He/she shall also ask that person to put his/her firearms and ammunition in his/her vehicle. The incident shall be reported to the club Safety Officer, or the club President at the earliest opportunity by phone. Both parties shall submit a written account of the incident to the club Safety Officer or club President for review by the executive committee.

Section 4. Range Safety

A.
The red flag at the gate is to be raised upon entering the range and lowered upon leaving unless the range is still active.
B.
Be sure that the range is clear before changing the direction of the safety gate.
C.
All guns are to be unloaded and open while scoring targets.
D.
All guns are to be unloaded and open except while on the firing line.
E.
No firing is to be done until the range is clear.
F.
All vehicles are to be parked behind the firing line except while attending targets.
G.
Maximum loads or untested guns, which may be dangerous, are not to be fired in the presence of others.
H.
Any accident occurring on CKGC property or at a CKGC organized event shall be reported to the Safety Officer or the President. A written account will be submitted if requested.

Section 5. General Rules and Regulations

A.
All persons entering or leaving club grounds will lock the gate after passing through, except when organized club competitions and practices are being conducted.

The speed limit on club grounds will be 10 Mph.
C.
Driving on other than existing roads and parking areas is prohibited except when doing grounds maintenance.
D.
The club is not responsible for any accidents to members or their guests.
E.
All members must see that their children and pets are properly supervised at all times.
F.
All members and guests shall comply with all club rules and regulations as set forth by the Executive Committee.
G.
Members may be expelled or suspended for any unsportsmanlike conduct, drinking, gambling, vandalism, or willful violation of the rules and regulations. Disciplinary action will be determined by the Executive Committee.
H.
Members shall report any illegal activity they witness at the club grounds to the appropriate law enforcement agency and also to a club officer. Members shall also report any violation of any club rule, regulation or operating procedure at the club grounds to a club officer. A written account of the illegal activity or violation may be required. Failure to comply with these requirements would make the non-reporting member subject to expulsion.
I.
Members cannot have organizational groups as guests.
J.
Non-dependent children, 18 years of age or older, shall apply for a separate club membership.
K. Hunting is prohibited on the club grounds.
L. The operating procedures and rules and regulations of CKGC shall be set forth and amended by the Executive Committee.
